ZZ Top is a multiple award-winning band comprised of Billy Gibbons, Dusty Hill, and Frank Beard. They began as an American Blues band but have evolved their music throughout their career, incorporating elements of New Wave, punk and dance rock, and other genres. Their ability to grow their music while keeping a foot firmly planted in a blues background has led to numerous awards and even induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2004. ZZ Top formed in 1969 in Houston, Texas and released their first album, ZZ Top's First Album, in 1971. They quickly made a name for themselves through their incorporation of humor and innuendo into their lyrics. In 1979, after releasing four more albums, the band signed with Warner Brother's Records and released their album, Deguello, which went platinum. 1983 saw the release of their album, Eliminator, which included the single, "Legs." "Legs" won the MTV Music Video Award for Best Group Video. Their star only continued to rise, and in 1994 they signed a $35 million deal with RCA Records. They have put out over a dozen albums to much acclaim, toured extensively, and created multiple award winning music videos throughout their career.
