Info

New Order is an electronic alternative rock band that was formed in Salford, England in 1980. Currently comprised of members Bernard Sumner, Gillian Gilbert, Ian Curtis, Stephen Morris, and Peter Hook, New Order creates a sound of music that is a blend of new wave and electronic music, both of which were incredibly popular at the time of the band's formation. Known as one of the most influential and critically acclaimed bands of the 1980s, New Order's music was a staple in clubs during this time and their music can still be heard in clubs today. New Order has released a total of eight albums and the song "Blue Monday" (which was not included on any New Order album until the 2008 re-release of the 1983 album Power, Corruption and Lies) has the distinct recognition of being UK's best selling 12" single of all time. If you have never heard the new wave dance sounds of New Order, here is your chance with the music video for the song "Blue Monday". http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ftJZomwDhxQ
