Information of Melody Gardot
New Jersey born singer/songwriter Melody Gardot has been creating a blend of jazz infused music since the 2008 release of the album Worrisome Heart. Often compared to fellow musician Nina Simone, Melody Gardot claims inspiration from musicians such as Judy Garland, Miiles Davis and Janis Joplin. Along with writing music that she adores to sing in concert while on tour, Melody Gardot is a practicing Buddhist who uses her music as a form of music therapy, and she is a strict macrobiotic who champions many humanitarian causes. She has released a total of 3 albums that include songs like "Who Will Comfort Me?" "Baby I'm A Fool" and "Worrisome Heart" and she has won the distinct recognition of being nominated for a Grammy Award. Melody Gardot is a truly well rounded musician who uses her music and life to try and better the planet.
