On How Life Is became her most successful album to date due in part to the enormous success of the single "I Try", which is a song that is considered to be one of the greatest songs of all time. Although Gray released 6 more albums including 2001's The Trouble With Being Myself and 2010's The Sellout, Macy Gray never managed to repeat the amazing success of the album On How Life Is.
