Comprised of members Jahan Yousaf, Yasmine Yousaf and Kris Trindl (Rain Main), Krewella is an electronic dance group based out of Chicago, IL. While Krewella has been a band since 2007, it was not until the 2012 release of the video for "Killin It" that Krewella gained more widespread recognition for their music. During their short career, Krewella has released the EP Play Hard, the single "Killin It", five original songs including "Hustle Up" and "Strobelights" and three remixes including "Breath" & "Rise and Fall". Krewella may be relatively new to the electronic music scene, but they have already worked with the enormously popular dubstep producer Skrillex. In 2012, Krewella embarked on their very first nationwide tour, which included stops at some of California's most popular clubs, and soon they will embark on their very first international tour which includes performances at the popular Australian club known as Stereosonic. Soon Krewella hopes to become a worldwide known electronic music band. Krewella is an electro dance music group hailing from the "windy city", Chicago, Illinois. The group, which was formed in 2007, consist of three individuals. Yasmine Yousaf and Jahan Yousaf, who also happen to be sisters, are the singers and songwriters of the trio. The third member of the group is their producer, Kris Trindi, who is often referred to as "Rain Man." Krewella has been a recognized entity of the electro music scene since they had their breakthrough in 2011. Their self-produced unique sound, which is a mixture of multiple genres like rock, electro-pop, and dubstep, has allowed the group to distinguish themselves from the rest of the pack. It was this set of creative music stylings that were utilized in the production of their first EP Play Hard. The Play Hard EP, which was released in June of 2012, received much critical acclaim. It reached the number one spot on the Beatport charts. Krewella also received success with their hit song "Alive"; a song that earned the group a number one spot on Billboard's Dance Radio Airplay charts. All of the group's success in such a short period of time has allowed them to perform on some of the more prestigious stages across the globe as participating acts in various tours and festivals. They have headlined tours and festivals not only in North America, but in Europe, Central America, Asia and Australia. Some of these festivals include the Ultra Music Festival, Electric Daisy Carnival, Stereosonic and Spring Awakening.
