Information of Kasabian
Kasabian is an English rock band whose original members include Tom Meighan on lead vocals, Christopher Karloff playing guitar and keyboard, Sergio Pizzorno on guitar and backup vocals and Chris Edwards on the bass. They formed in Leicester in 1999. Since then Karloff has left the band. Consequently, drummer Ian Matthews and former touring guitarist Jay Mehler have joined as full-time band members. Kasabian has produced three studio albums: self-entitled Kasabian, released in 2004; Empire released in 2006; and West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum, released in 2009. In a recent profile of the band, British newspaper The Independent states that Kasabian is one of the few current British rock bands that are fully capable of headlining a major festival and sell out a stadium in concert and on tour, but also be mavericks in the music scene. Throughout their twelve-year long existence, Kasabian has evolved from a band with a solely lad rock image to one that experiments with different styles, even such non-mainstream ones like Krautrock and psychedelic music. According to band guitarist and vocalist Pizzorno, their tendency to intermittently evolve and sometimes unexpectedly change in musical styles is helpful because they prefer to not fit in a presumed box and enjoy surprising their audiences.
