Guster is an American Pop and Rock band formed by Ryan Miller, Luke Reynolds, Adam Gardner, and Brian Rosenworcel in Boston, Massachusetts in 1991. Guster has been in the music industry for over twenty years and still performs and records regularly. They have released music with some of the biggest record labels in the world, such as Columbia, Aware, Palm, Reprise, Warner Brothers and Sire. Guster has released six studio albums. Those include, Parachute (1995), Goldfly (1997), Lost and Gone Forever (1999), Keep It Together (2003), Ganging Up on the Sun (2006), and Easy Wonderful (2010). In 2004, two members of the band formed an activist group called Reverb that deals with touring musicians becoming more environmentally friendly, functional and resourceful. Guster has been known for their tight relationship with their followers by regularly signing autographs, communicating via emails, social media networks and on their main website. The band members all met at an orientation meeting for Tufts University in 1991. Originally they were called Gus, and having composed a few original songs they started booking gigs while still at college. Three years later they released their first full length album, Parachute. The band had to change their name to Guster after another major recording star was signed under the moniker, Gus. It was not until 1998 that the band signed to a major record label, Sire and released their third full length album. They have been compared to other acts from the 90's like Phish and Dave Matthews Band.
