The Dave Grohl-led "Foo Fighters" have been a virtual "hit machine" since their debut in the 1990's. The alternative rock band, formed on the heels of Nirvana's dissolution, has been a staple on the festival scene, performing thousands of concert tour dates, since their inception. Noted for their lyrical prowess and unique take on melodic affinities, the Foo's have fostered a successful run in the industry, garnering much praise and press. After winning a Grammy Award in 2000, for their single "Learn to Fly," the Foo Fighters have gone on to win an additional 6 awards for their gritty, high-energy performances and unique, imaginative recordings. In August of 2011, after what critics hailed as the two greatest Foo concerts of all time, which took place in July at the Milton Keynes National Bowl, the Foo's announced, through a viral media campaign on their YouTube channel, that they would be returning to the stage for a lengthy U.S. tour, in support of their 7th studio album release.
