Grammy award winning singer songwriter Fiona Apple has been making music since the 1996 release of her debut album Tidal. Thanks in part to the enormous popularity of the single "Criminal", Tidal became a landmark album that catapulted Fiona Apple into widespread musical success. Her following albums When The Pawn..., Extraordinary Machine and The Idler Wheel... received critical acclaim amongst the music industry, but these albums never came close to the commercial success of Tidal.
