The beautiful Ryman Auditorium is a 2,362-seat turn-of-the-century building that has had the sounds of live music bouncing off its interior walls since its 1892 opening as the Union Gospel Tabernacle. Since then, the Thomas Ryman-constructed building has been home to Nashville’s Grand Old Opry for years, as well as local and national touring artists. As is the case with Nashville itself, the Ryman is constantly filled with southern sounds – blues, bluegrass, folk, country, gospel, and roots rock, but concerts of all genres are given within the confines of the 5th Avenue venue.
