Born in Abbott, TX on April 30, 1933, legendary singer/songwriter Willie Nelson is one of the founders of a genre of music known as outlaw country. Along with writing such well known and beloved hits like "On The Road Again", "Pancho & Lefty" and "To All The Girls I've Loved Before", Nelson, often referred to as the redheaded stranger, is also an actor and activist for various social causes including the legalization of marijuana. Throughout his decades spanning career, Nelson has released an enormous catalog of music that includes 66 studio albums, 10 live albums, 37 compilation albums, and two soundtracks, and he is perhaps one of the best known artists to even come out of country music. During his illustrious career Nelson has not only won numerous awards, but he was also inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame back in 1993 and was the first recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Annual Country Music Association Awards.
