Best known for the 1970s hit singles "Low Rider", "Why Can't We Be Friends?" and "Spill The Wine", War is a band that blends funk, r&b, jazz, and rock into a truly unique musical sound. Formed in 1969 by Animals front man Eric Burdon, War is a band that reflects the laid back vibe of California in the 70s. Through the years, War has experienced numerous changes in the band's lineup. Currently, the only remaining original member is Leroy "Lonnie" Jordan. In total, War has released an extensive collection of music that includes the studio albums The Black-Man's Burdon, The World Is A Ghetto, All Day Music, Why Can't We Be Friends?, and Love Is All Around, and a handful of live and compilation albums including 1974's War Live and 1982's The Best of the Music Band. While War may have achieved most of their success in the 1970s, they are still rocking hard today.
