Steve Miller Band was formed in 1967 in San Francisco, California during the height of the psychedelic scene that was happening at the time. Throughout their 45 year career, Steve Miller Band has gone through numerous changes in their lineup with the current incarnation of the band consisting of Steve Miller, Gordy Knudtson, Rob Delaney, Kenny Lee Lewis, Joseph Wooten, Sonny Charles, and Jacob Petersen. In total, Steve Miller Band has an extensive catalog of music that includes 18 studio albums, seven compilation albums and three live albums and they have released 29 singles. Although they became a band in the 1960s, the years between 1970 and 1979 were the most successful for Steve Miller Band. Songs like "Fly Like An Eagle", "The Joker", "Swingtown", "Take The Money And Run", "Rock'n Me", "Jet Airliner", "Abracadabra", and "Jungle Love" are some of Steve Miller Band's highest charting singles, and these songs are still quite popular on classic rock radio stations of today.
