Information of Sevendust


Sevendust, a heavy metal quintet based in Atlanta, rose to fame in the late 1990s with an appealing blend of bottom-heavy riffs and accessible melodies. Initially comprised of frontman Lajon Witherspoon along with John Connolly, Clint Lowery, Vince Hornsby and Morgan Rose, the group first performed as Crawlspace, releasing a single entitled "My Ruin," in 1995. The group subsequently changed its name to Sevendust and released its self-titled debut on the Mortal Kombat label in 1997.

The band released the gold-certified Home in 1999, played more than 800 live shows, including a stop at Woodstock 99, in conjunction with similar acts such as Creed. animosity, their third album, was released in 2001, with Seasons following in 2003.

Ex-Snot guitarist Sonny Mayo replaced Lowery in February 2005, prior to the release of their fifth album, Next, the band's first self-produced released. Sevendust signed to Asylum Records and released Alpha in 2007, which reached number 14 on the Billboard charts. Chapter VII: Hope and Sorrow, arrived in April 2008, followed by Cold Day Memory in 2010. Black Out the Sun, their ninth album, was released in 2013. The band's 2014 release, entitled Time Travelers and Bonfires.
