Primus is a truly unique band that creates an experimental sound of music that borrows from genres of funk and metal to create a sound of music that is often known for being heavy on the bass. Currently comprised of members Les Claypool, Larry "Ler" LaLonde and Jay Lane, Primus has been infusing the world of music with their often quirky and sometimes irreverent sound of music since the 1990 album Suck on This. Then came 7 more albums including Fizzle Fry, Sailing the Sea of Cheese and Pork Soda, with each album containing offbeat, sometimes thought provoking lyrics set to a completely experimental instrumental sound that truly sets Primus apart from any other band. Through their career, Primus has embarked on many a tour and have developed a legion of devoted fans who follow them around from one concert venue to another. Primus is arguably one of the most unique and innovative bands to come out of the music scene of the past 20 years.
