Melt-Banana are an experimental noise rock band from Toyko, Japan, founded in 1992. There have been various incarnations over the years, but the two founding members remain the same - singer Yasuko Onuki and guitarist Ichirou Agata. Having released 10 albums since their inception, the band continue to tour extensively worldwide. Melt-Banana's sound centres on crushingly fast and heavy grindcore, but in that wonderfully Japanese manner also melds a diverse array influences such as J-pop and electronica to create something truly unique.
