Kesha is an international recording Pop star from Los Angeles, California. Kesha broke into the scene in Nashville, Tennessee in 2005. Her first single "Animal" went to number 1 on the US Music Charts. Since the release of her first extended player, Kesha has dominated the charts as well as created her own fashion style. 2 more of Kesha's singles went to number 1. Those songs were "Tik Tok" and "We R Who We R". Kesha has claimed that a lot of the Pop music from the 80s has inspired her sound and look. In particular, Kesha has cited Beck and Madonna as major inspirations to her sound. Kesha's music combines elements of rap, electro, pop, rock, country and dance. The excessive use of the auto-tune filter on her vocals has become one of her signature moves. Her most recent album, Warrior was released in 2012 to much critical acclaim. The major themes on the record include love, sex and relationship struggles. Most of the album's core sound is dominated by electronic and dance beats and rhythms. The album features many guest appearances, most notably starring punk legend, Iggy Pop. Kesha continues to tour the world as well as recording original music. Kesha is currently working on new material for her third full-length album.
