Born in July of 1961, singer/songwriter Keith Sweat creates music using influences of R&B and soul and is known as the inventor of a type of urban music known as New Jack Swing. Along with creating and producing his own music, Sweat produces records for other artists and he is also a well know radio personality. During the 70s, Sweat was a member of a band known as Jamilah, but in 1984 he ventured onto a solo career that would become quite successful. Sweat released his debut album in 1987 titled Make It Last Forever, and since that time he has gone on to release 11 more albums, including 1991's "Keep It Comin'" and 1998's "Still In The Game" With songs like "I Want Her" and "Why Me Baby", Sweat not only gained the recognition of fans, but he also earned the respect of the music industry through winning 4 American Music Awards.
