Formed in 2006, Japandroids is a Canadian duo comprised of members David Prowse and Brian King. Initially bonding in college over their mutual love of music, the Japandroids decided to make their own blend of a punk, garage noise type of sound that has sometimes been compared to Arctic Monkeys. The Japandroids released their first album in 2009 titled Post-Nothing, which was followed by 2010's No Singles and 2012's Celebration Rock. With songs like "Young Hearts Spark Fire", "Fire's Highway" and "Evil's Sway", Japandroids have not only gained a following of fans that convene to see them in concert, but they have also gained the recognition of popular music sources like Pitchfork Media and Spin. When Japandroids go on tour to play whether as a solo act or as part of a festival lineup, it is a well known fact that this duo puts on an energetic and lively stage show.
