Fucked Up is a hardcore punk band from Toronto, Canada. Core members Damian Abraham, Jonah Falco, Mike Haliechuk, Ben Cook, Sandy Miranda and Josh Zucker formed the band in 2001. The group was quickly signed to prestigious indie label Matador Records. In 2009, Fucked Up won the Polaris Music Prize award for their album The Chemistry of Common Life. Since 2006, Fucked Up have released three full-length studio albums as well as over fifty singles. The band is also widely acknowledged for their music videos for songs like "Crooked Head" and "Queen of Hearts". The band has also made numerous appearances on national television programs including two performances on George Stroumboulopoulos Tonight and MTV Live Canada. Fucked Up has also collaborated with some of the largest names in the music industry including Dinosaur Jr., Dead Kennedys, Broken Social Scene, Bob Mould, GZA, TV on the Radio and David Cross. In 2012, Fucked Up released a limited edition run of their single "I Hate Summer" live, which was also a 7" split with legendary garage rock band, The Dirtbombs. Fucked Up has developed an international fan base that is continually increasing due to Fucked Up's large and prolific musical recording output.
