Dan Deacon is an electronic musician based out of Baltimore, Maryland. He began his career in 2003 with an EP releases called Green Cobra Is Awesome vs. the Sun. Since then, Dan Deacon has released 8 full length studio albums as well as joined forces with some of the leading independent record labels on the planet. Those include Domino Records, Wildfire Wildfire Records, Carpark Records, Mistletone Records, Psych-o-Path, Standard Oil Records and Comfort Stand Records. In addition, Dan Deacon is known for his spectacular and exciting live show performances. He has performed at numerous music festivals around the world over the past decade. Most notably, Deacon has performed at Primavera Sound, Moogfest, Lollapalooza, SXSW, Fun Fun Fun Fest, Bumbershoot, Pitchfork Music Festival and Coachella. Deacon has also performed at many prestigious museums around the world. Furthermore, Dan Deacon has toured with some well known acts such as Deerhunter and No Age. Deacon's music is hard to classify, but is commonly referred to as experimental electronic music. His most notable instruments are wave function generators, keyboards, vocals, trombone, tuba, electronics, Wavetek 30 Function Generator and Wavetek 180 Function Generator. He is currently working on his 9th full length studio album as well as a run of tour dates to support the album's release.
