Information of Bohren & der Club of Gore

Bohren & der Club of Gore are a German band founded in 1992 by a group of friends brought together over a love of hardcore, death metal and doom. Perhaps surprising then, that the sound they developed could largely be described as jazz. Jazz with a twist though, in their words "doom ridden jazz", evocative of dark backstreets and shady goings on, men wearing trench coats, espionage and murder. Imagine the soundtrack to a David Lynch film set in 1930s Germany and you're getting close.
