Information of The Vamps

The Vamps, the English pop rock band.  Not to be confused with Vamps, the Japanese rock group.

The Vamps, a British pop rock band, is made up of Brad Simpson (lead vocals, guitar), James McVey (lead guitar, vocals), Connor Bell (bass guitar, vocals), and Tristan Evans (drums, vocals). Simpson met McVey through a YouTube video in 2011. The duo wrote a few songs together, and in 2012 they met Tristan Evans through Facebook, and Connor Bell through a mutual friend. The group began uploading tunes to their YouTube channel in mid-2012, and signed a deal with Mercury Records at the end of 2012.

They performed several UK festivals, and released their debut single “Can We Dance” (2013), which reached number two on the UK Singles Chart. That was followed by “Wild Heart” and “Last Night” (2014). Their debut album Meet the Vamps was released in April 2014 through Virgin EMI, debuting at number two in the UK. The Vamps released “Wild Heart” as their debut single in the US and Canada.

They have won various music awards already, including the MTV Brand New Award and Nickolodeon Kids’ Choice Award for UK Favourite Breakthrough, both in 2014.
