She looks like the British cross between Gwen Stefani and Beyonce Knowles, two women whom she credits as major style and performance influences. The Yugoslavian native has auditioned in the past for the Eurovision Song contest and appeared on British television shows, but remains one of the few big names to make it big by producing and distributing viral videos of herself. Having noticed Ora, Jay-Z signed her label Roc Nation and after two years, her first full length album hit the stands. With the help of major named producers, from will.i.am to Kanye West, Ora spawned three hit singles, making Rita Ora with the most number one singles in the UK for 2012. Despite mixed reviews, Ora has enjoyed major commercial success in the UK. She was nominated for the 2012 UK MTV Music Awards and BRIT awards as Best Female Artist, Best Breakthrough Act, and Best UK Act. Ora is highlighted for her mezzo-soprano vocal range and her flair for vintage party clothing inspired by David Bowie, Gwen Stefani, and Marilyn Monroe.
