Put out a saucer of milk and some moonshine, 'cos Pussycat And The Dirty Johnsons are coming...
The formidable Pussycat is renowned for prowling the audience whilst the adrenaline fuelled Dirty Johnson boys pound out their infectious brand of Dirty Rock'n'Roll. Like all cats they are hard to pin down and have been described as one of the most incendiary live bands in the UK.
With the high impact raw energy of their live shows artfully captured in the studio by producer Alex McGowan, their debut studio LP 'Exercise your demons' received many great reviews, the eagerly awaited power-packed follow up LP 'Dirty Rock'n'Roll has been receiving the same accolade since it's release in February 2013, comprising 11 blistering tracks the band - now a trio after deciding not to have a bass player - have kept the new album exciting and fresh, they've also brought in double bass skills of Phil Bloomberg (The Polecats) to guest on a couple of numbers!
Formerly in a band just called The Johnsons, this Basingstoke based power-trio are fronted by Puss Johnson (origins dubious and unknown), with founding guitarist Jake (Feckle,Lube), and drummer Antz (The Krewmen). Inspirations are wide and varied for each band member but all share the same fundamental taste in music.
Their first video 'Trouble With The Devil' (directed by filmmaker Oliver Harrison) has received over 32,000 hits and the last three years has seen the band play over 150 shows, including 5 UK tours and some great festival slots. They've supported the likes of The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, Thee Oh Sees, The Fuzztones, Mad Sin, The Creepshow, The Polecats, Bow Wow Wow, The Meteors, The Rezillos, The Vibrators and The Urban Voodoo Machine, as well as playing with great touring bands DragSTER, Trioxin Cherry, The Dogbones, Atomic Suplex and 100% Beefcock and the Titsburster
