Information of Passenger
Passenger first began as a British folk rock band. Established in 2003 in Brighton and Hove, England, it was fronted by the main vocalist and songwriter Mike Rosenberg, as well as Andrew Phillips. At various times the band fluctuated between four and five members. Their debut album was Wicked Mans Rest, released in 2007. It featured eleven songs all co-written by Rosenberg and Phillips. Andrews left the band soon after the albums release, and the rest of the band later broke up in 2009. After the break, Rosenberg embarked on a solo career, but kept the bands name for his himself. In October 2009 he took his act to Australia, opening for other acts such as Brian Campeau, Elana Stone, and Lior. This earned him a following in the Australian music scene, and he went on to headline his own tours and selling out small stadiums. In 2010 Rosenberg released his first solo album, Flight of the Crow. His recording sessions were joined by various independent Australian musical talents, including Boy & Bear, Lior, Josh Pyke, Katie Noonan, and Kate Miller-Heidke. In 2012 Rosenberg released a follow-up, All the Little Lights. Again recorded in Australia, Rosenberg was once more joined by several independent musical talents, including drummer Tim Hart, bassist Cameron Undy, and keyboardist Stu Hunter. He did a tour in the United Kingdom, opening for Jools Holland and Ed Sheeran. He would later follow Sheeran to tour in North America as well.
