Information of Foster the People

The newest indie pop band Foster The People was originally named by Mark Foster (the bands vocalist) as "Foster & The People". Since the people misunderstood it as "Foster The people" that gave a relevant meaning of "taking care of" or "caring for" the people, Mark and the band decided to adopt it. The band was formed in 2009 in Los Angeles California. The three members of the band are Mark Foster (vocals, keyboards, piano, synthesizers, guitar and percussion), Mark Pontius (drums and extra percussion), and Cubbie Fink (bass and back-up vocals). Their song "Pumped Up Kicks" from their album "Torches" paved way to their rise to stardom. Concert tickets are always sold out and their live tour concerts were all successful. Added to the band during their tour are Sean Cimino (guitar, keyboard, synthesizer and back-up vocals) and Isom Innis (keyboard, piano and back-up vocals). The bands performance at South by Southwest (SXSW) during a music festival at Austin, Texas and playing on The Hype Machine gave way for a good introduction to the brand of music the band played. Their popular song "Pump Up Kicks" that made it to the charts have different remixes while other songs of the band are "Helena Beat" and "Call It What You Want".
