Information of Fitz & the Tantrums
Fitz and The Tantrums are a band that found that its start in 2008. They are an American pop band that originates from Los Angeles, California. Along with creating pop music, they have also been known to produce music in the soul, neo-soul and rock genres. The band, which is led by Michael Fitzpatrick, is a co-ed group of musicians. In total, Fitz and The Tantrums have a cast of seven members. The Band features lead vocalist and keyboardist Michael Fitzpatrick, vocalist and percussionist Noelle Scaggs, base guitar player Joseph Karnes, keyboardist Jeremy Ruzumma, drummer and percussionist John Wicks, and James King who plays the saxophone, flute, trumpet and harmonica. The band which assembled as a result of an organ purchase by band leader Fitzpatrick in 2008, has thrivingly progressed through the music industry. The band first performed in Hollywood, California at Hotel Cafe in December 2008 just one week after their first rehearsal. Doing gigs and constantly performing would become the norm for the band in the upcoming years. In 2009, they performed as opening acts for the likes of Hepcat, Flogging Molly and Maroon 5. 2010 also featured constant performances for the band. One highlighted performance was the show they did at South by Southwest(SXSW) where they opened for Ska music legends The Specials. In that same year, the band was signed by Dangerbird Records. The signing led to the production of their first album, Pickin' Up the Pieces, which was released on August 24, 2010.
