Information of Deaf Havana

Deaf Havana are an alternative rock band originating from the English country of Norfolk. Ryan Mellor, James Veck-Gilodi, and Lee Wilson had played together casually in high school. In college, they added Tom Ogden and Sebastian Spitz, recorded a demo, and began their professional music career. They released their debut EP in 2007. A year later, the band signed a deal with Wolf at Your Door Records for one EP and two albums. "Meet Me Halfway, At Least" was their debut album, which released in 2008 to favorable reviews. "Fools and Worthless Liars" released in 2011, and hit No.1 on the BBC Rock Album Chart. A third album, "Old Souls," was released in 2013. Only three of the original Deaf Havana quintet remain part of the band. Sebastian Spitz was the first to leave. Chris Pennells took his place. Mellor also left, leaving the band at four members until 2012, when they added Matthew Veck-Gilodi (brother of James) and Max Britton. The band's sound has changed over the years - from post-hardcore and scream-oriented to softer, more acoustic, and more emotionally-driven. They have taken their ever-evolving musical style on the road, playing for fans all over the world.
