Perhaps best known as the founder and front man of the band Talking Heads, David Byrne is a musician who creates diverse and truly unique music. Between the years 1975 and 1991, Byrne showcased his range of vocal talents as the lead singer of the highly influential band Talking Heads. Talking Heads released a total of eight albums, including 1980's Remain in Light and 1983's Speaking in Tongues, and they created a list of popular hits including "Psycho Killer", "Once In A Lifetime", "Take Me To The River" and "Burning Down The House", the latter of which was Talking Head's only top 10 single in the U.S. Aside from the enormous popularity of Talking Heads, Byrne also achieved great success as a solo artist between 1979-1981 and then again in 1989 until the present. As a solo artist Byrne release nine albums including 1981's My Life in the Bush of Ghosts (with Brian Eno), 2001's Look into the Eyeball and 2004's Grown Backwards. Along with making music that earned the Talking Heads a 2002 induction into The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, David Byrne has also written nine books and appeared in six movies.
