Information of Avenged Sevenfold

Avenged Sevenfold or (A7x) as they are sometimes known, originated in Huntington Beach, California. The high school band started up in 1999 with the vocalist M. Shadows and guitarist Zacky Vengeance finding their sound by mixing up the metal, pop-punk influences of the Sex Pistols, Johnny Rotten and metal bands like Metallica. Their first MTV music video award for best new artist came in 2006 after a few years on the tour circuit. The release of their debut album, Sounding the Seventh Trumpet in July of 2001 was followed by the Hopeless release Waking the Fallen in 2003. Warner Brothers picked up the band for their 2005 City of Evil as they began to make it in the mainstream music arena performing more and showcasing their music videos on MTV and Fuse. After their single “Bat Country” went to number one on the Billboard charts, the demand for new music sent the band back to the recording studio instead of out on tour. They cancelled their dates and came out with their fourth album; self titled and with the single “Almost Easy” it hit the top of the charts in 2007. Avenged Sevenfold’s latest album, “Nightmare” has the music video “So Far Away” included on DVD. The Uproar festival was a great success for the band this past October, and more festival appearances are in the works. The band has just announced a free concert in December at the HP Pavilion in San Jose. Check out their website for more information about the concert.
