Action Bronson, born Arian Asllani, grew up in Flushing, Queens, New York. Before pursuing his music career, Asllani worked as a New York City fire-flame gourmet chef and had his own online cooking show, "Action in the Kitchen." Bronson has made guest appearances with numerous artists throughout his career, including Apathy, Wu-Tang Clan, Smoke DZA, A$AP Rocky, Danny Brown, Funkmaster Flex, and Jared Evan. Action Bronson released his first studio album, Dr. Lecter, in 2011 via his website. A follow up album, Well Done, was released later that year in collaboration with Statik Selektah. Bronson signed with VICE, a media company, and NUE, a concert book agency, in 2012 prior to the release of his mix tape Rare Chandeliers with The Alchemist. He moved to Atlantic Records in 2013 and released his EP Saaab Stories with guest appearances by Wiz Khalifa, Prodigy, and Raekwon. Bronson was included in XXL Magazine's "2013 Freshman Class," a distinction that recognized him as a promising up and comer. Saaab Stories rose to number 63 in the US. It peaked at number 9 on the US R&B chart and at number six on the US Rap Chart. Bronson joined forces with Danny Brown in 2013 for the 2 High 2 Die Tour.
