The Yeah Yeah Yeahs are an indie rock band formed in New York City in 2000. The core group members consist of Karen O, Nick Zinner and Brian Chase. The three-piece is signed to Interscope, Fiction, Modular and Polydor. The group has released 3 full-length studio albums since 2003's Fever To Tell. Since then, the group has gone on to create a massive following as well as an immensity of critical acclaim.
The band was also nominated for 3 Grammy Awards as well as nominated for 5 MTV Awards. The band is currently finished working on their 4th studio offering called Mosquito. The Yeah Yeah Yeahs have led a successful music career in just over a decade.
They have gained a solid and devoted following since touring with major acts like Björk, Liars, The Strokes, The White Stripes and The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion. In recent news, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs have been confirmed to play ATP music festival as well as Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in 2013.
The group has toured the world extensively over the past decade and continues to evolve their ever-growing sound. They are best recognized for creating an Indie-Rock sound that merges Electronic elements, Punk and Garage stylings. In 2013, the band is planning to release their next record to the world. The Yeah Yeah Yeahs are also planning to tour on the back of the album's release. Tour dates will be announced in mid 2013.
