Tool is a group from the United States, Los Angeles area that was born in 1990. The main genre that characterizes the group is progressive metal, although they can also be identified with heavy metal, alternative metal, rock experimental or post-metal. The band consists of vocalist Maynard James Keenan, bassist Justin Chancellor, guitarist Adam Jones and drummer Danny Carey. With the exception of the bassist, who replaced Paul D'Amour in 1996, the rest of the members have remained since their formation. His debut album Undertow (1993) is characterized by a heavy metal sound. With their subsequent releases, Ænima (1996), Lateralus (2001) and 10,000 Days (2006), they experiment with music towards a progressive metal style. Specifically, with the album Ænima (1996) they reached the top of the alternative metal genre. After a wait of 13 years after his last album "10,000 Days", Tool releases on August 30, 2019 his fifth studio album, "Fear Inoculum", with excellent reviews and which many fans said is the best work of the group.
