Information of The Bloody Beetroots
The Bloody Beetroots are an electro dance music group from the city of Bassano de Grappa, Vicenza, Italy. The duo, which includes international indie producer Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo and DJ Tommy Tea, formed in 2006.
Due to their unique style of production, they have been compared to other illustrious electro dance music groups such as French group Justice and the Italian DJ duo of the Crookers. Along with unique production habits, the group also has the tendency to put on unconventional performances. Every time the Bloody Beetroots perform, they wear Grendel masks which resemble Venom, the long-time villain often featured in Spiderman comics. These masks allow the group to hide their identity in the public eye. The public, more times than not, are challenged when identifying the group. Fortunately, Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo has the year "1977" tattooed across his chest to help fans identify him.
The group began seeing consistent success in 2008. The Bloody Beetroots started that year by going on a short tour of the United States with their label mate DJ Steve Aoki. Later on that year, the group achieved another level of success by earning a spot in a video game. The song "Butter" was included in the FIFA 09 soundtrack. In 2009, the group earned themselves a spot in the NBA 2K9 video game with their song "Mac Mac." 2009 was also the year that saw the Bloody Beetroots release their debut album. Romborama was released on Dim Mak Records of that year.
