Machine Gun Kelly is the pseudonym of Cleveland, Ohio rapper Richard Colson Baker. Baker was born in 1994 and began his musical career in 2006 at the age of seventeen. He is currently signed to Bad Boy and Interscope Records. His stage name was derived from infamous mobster, George "Machine Gun Kelly" Barnes. Additionally, Machine Gun Kelly's lyrical flow is what linked him with his going by the name of Machine Gun Kelly or MGK. In 2012, Machine Gun Kelly released his debut long player called Lace Up. MGK also released five mixtapes and an extended player. MGK won two MTVU Awards in 2012 and 2013. In 2013, Machine Gun Kelly announced that he will be releasing an upcoming mixtape as well as a follow up to his 2012 debut album release. Machine Gun Kelly's debut releases ranked at number four on the music charts and featured a list of prominent musical figures such as Ester Dean, Lil Jon, Tech N9ne, Twista, Waka Flocka Flame and Young Jeezy. Machine Gun Kelly is expecting to release his next album in 2013 as well as a long tour regimen to follow.
