Information of Kaiser Chiefs

Originally known as Parva (formed in 2000 and releasing the album 22 in 2003), the Kaiser Chiefs of Leeds, West Yorkshire, England, renamed themselves in 2003. Their new name was inspired by the football team, Leeds United's former captain, Lucas Radebe's previous team, The South African Kaizer Chiefs Football Club. The band comprised of Ricky Wilson contributing vocals, Andrew "Whitey" White on guitar, Simon Rix on bass, Nick "Peanut" Baines on keyboards and Nick Hodgson on drums.

In 2004, they released their first single "Oh My God" and soon after released their second single "I Predict A Riot". Those singles along with "Everyday I Love You Less and Less," "Modern Way," and "Saturday Night" (featured in the Xbox 360 pre-lease video) showed up on the Kaiser Chief's debut studio album Employment released in March 2005. Then, the Kaiser Chiefs released Yours Truly, Angry Mob (March 2007) featuring the hit single "Ruby". The original band lineup then released Off with Their Heads in July 2011 (featuring "Never Miss a Beat" and "Like It Too Much") and The Future Is Medieval in October 2008 (re-issued in North America as Start the Revolution Without Me in March 2012, the album features "Little Shocks"). Then in late 2012, Nick Hodgson left the band. He was was replaced by drummer Vijay Mistry in 2013.

The Kaiser Chiefs are to release their next album Education, Education, Education & War in April 2014. The album will feature the single "Bows & Arrows" (released January 2014).
