Gossip is an indie/dance rock band that was formed in Olympia, Washington in 1999. Comprised of musicians Brace Paine, Hannah Blilie and vocalist Beth Ditto, Gossip first gained recognition in the music community when they performed in concert as the opening act during Sleater-Kinney's 1999 tour, which helped give exposure to Gossip's (then known as The Gossip) debut EP The Gossip. Since that time, Gossip has released 5 studio albums, including 2003's Movement and 2009's Music For Men, the latter of which gave Gossip the distinct honor of breaking the record for Germany's longest selling track in the history of German music charts for their single "Heavy Cross". Besides playing alongside fellow indie music musicians like Scissor Sisters, Mates of State and El Tigre, Gossip has also made concert appearances at the 2007 Glastonbury Festival and the 2007 True Colors Tour.
