The Dave Grohl-led "Foo Fighters" have been a virtual "hit machine" since their debut in the 1990's. The alternative rock band, formed on the heels of Nirvana's dissolution, has been a staple on the festival scene, performing thousands of concert tour dates, since their inception. The group currently consists of Pat Smear, Nate Mendel, Taylor Hawkins, Chris Shiflett and Rami Jaffee. Noted for their lyrical prowess and unique take on melodic affinities, the Foo's have fostered a successful run in the industry, garnering much praise and press. After winning a Grammy Award in 2000, for their single "Learn to Fly," the Foo Fighters have gone on to win an additional 6 awards for their gritty, high-energy performances and unique, imaginative recordings. After the release of a self-titled debut album, Foo Fighters had a great reception on their tour of the US and Europe, especially in the United Kingdom. Among his best-known albums include There Is Nothing Left to Lose (1999), Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace (2007), Concrete and Gold (2017). Foo Fighters has sold more than 15 million albums internationally and 4 of them have received a Grammy Award. In total they have published 9 studio albums and they are considered one of the best rock bands of the moment. Foo Fighters, celebrating its 25th anniversary, is currently in the process of creating what will be its tenth album.
