Born in Encino, California on March 27, 1963, Dave Koz is a smooth jazz saxophonist who also plays the drums, piano, and EWI. Koz first found recognition in the world of music during the 1980s when he was a session musician who went on tour with artists like Richard Marx and Jeff Lorber. In 1990, Koz embarked on a solo career that began with the release of his self titled debut album. Since beginning his solo career in the early 90s, Koz has released a total of 15 studio albums that include smooth jazz hits like "Emily", "It Might Be You", "Together Again", and "Anything's Possible." In recognition of his contributions to the world of smooth jazz music, Koz won a 2003 Grammy Award nomination for the album Saxophonist, and he also received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2009.
