Information of Coheed and Cambria

Coheed and Cambria are a band out of New York who have gone through many incarnations before settling on a line-up that includes Claudio Sanchez, Travis Stever, Josh Eppard, and Zach Cooper. They combine a wide range of influences into their music, making it hard to pin down their genre although they are often labeled as a progressive rock or pop-punk band.

Coheed and Cambria started out as Toxic Parents with Claudio Sanchez as the lead, which then became Beautiful Loser with the addition of Nate Kelley. The band broke up in 1995 and Claudio then formed Shabutie. It wasn't until 1998 that the band officially became Coheed and Cambria. They named themselves after two characters from Claudio Sanchez's science fiction comic, "The Armory Wars." The band decided to begin making concept albums that were integrated with Claudio Sanchez's comic universe. Their first album, The Second Stage Turbine Blade, utilized aspects from "The Armory Wars" and led to a tour throughout the United States and Japan and a spot on the 2002 Vans Warped Tour.

The band's second album, In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3, caught the attention of Columbia Records who signed them to a multi-album deal. They have released seven studio albums in total, along with special release albums, numerous music videos and singles.
