Ice Cube, whose real name is O'Shea Jackson (Los Angeles, California, 1969) is an American rapper, actor, and producer. Ice Cube was the first member of the rap group N.W.A. (Eazy-E, Dr. Dre) to leave the band and establishe himself as one of the main hip hop references in the US. Ice Cube's career has always been tied to controversy, with profane and political messages in his lyrics. His first two works “AmeriKKKa’s Most Wanted” (1990) and “Death Certificate” (1991) were the ones that gave him recognition and earned him the respect of the scene. Ice Cube's career grew, but he continued to be an iconic benchmark of 90s rap and one of the most influential artists in the genre industry. His albums have sold more than 12 million copies worldwide. In recent years, Ice Cube has focused on his role as an actor that he has been developing since the 1990s. In addition, he has also produced “Straight Outta Compton” (2015), a biographical film that tells the story of N.W.A from the beginning of the band to its dissolution. The last Ice Cube album to date is titled "Everythang's Corrupt", which was released in 2018 after its initial release date was delayed 3 years. This more recent album was well received by critics.
