Information of Wet Wet Wet
Wet Wet Wet is one of Scotland's most critcally-acclaimed pop bands from the late '80s and early '90s. Their music is classified as combining smooth pop with soft rock sounds. Core members Marti Pellow, Tommy Cunningham, Graeme Clark and Neil Mitchell formed the group in 1982. Since 1982, Graeme Duffin became Wet Wet Wet's fifth band member, who added additional vocals and guitars to the band's established sound. The quartet formed while attending high school in Clydebank, Scotland in the early eighties. The first name the band used was Vortex Motion. However, David Bates signed the group to PolyGram in 1985. In 1988, the band peaked at the number one spot for their rendition of The Beatles’ classic, "With A Little Help from My Friends". Since 1987, Wet Wet Wet released eight full-length studio albums over the course of their career. In 2012, Wet Wet Wet announced that the band would perform its first show in over five years at the Glasgow Green in celebration for the twenty-five year anniversary of their debut album, Popped In, Souled Out.
