After almost 30 years of recording and performing thrash/heavy/death metal music, Testament has proven that they are a band that can withstand the test of time. Over their extensive career, Testament has created 9 studio albums, a handful of both live and compilation albums, released 6 singles and they are still rockin' hard in the year 2012. Since their 1987 debut album release Legacy up until 2012's The Dark Roots of Earth, Testament is a band that has experienced numerous changes in their lineup with only original guitarist Eric Peterson still remaining today. Along with Eric Peterson, Testament's current lineup is made up of musicians Alex Skolnick on guitar, Chuck Billy on vocals and Greg Christian on bass.
Testament is a band that not only excels in the studio, but they have been blowing fans away in concert since they first hit the road for an extremely popular 1987 tour with Anthrax that stretched across the U.S. and Europe. The years between 1993 and 2003 were tremendously tumultuous for Testament with problems arising both from inner turmoil and issues in the band and with the rising popularity of the grunge music movement. The years between 2004 and 2010 included a reunion of sorts for Testament and an exciting, first time ever performance in the Middle East during the 2006 Dubai Desert Rock Festival.
During Testament's music comeback between 2004 and 2010, they released the album The Formation of Damnation and this is the music video for the first single off the album, "More Than Meets the Eye".
