Metallica is one of the most famous international heavy metal bands. The group was formed at the beginning of the Eighties by Lars Ulrich (drummer) and James Hetfield (voice), the main composers of the band, in Los Angeles, California; but they're based in San Francisco. Other members of Metallica have been varying over time for different reasons, but currently the band is formed by Ulrich and Hetfield together with Kirk Hammett (guitar) and Robert Trujillo (bass). Metallica are considered one of the pioneers of thrash metal and their first albums are based on this sound, among them the famous “Master of Puppets” (1986). It is with the record “Metallica” (1991) that there was a heavy metal classic and commercial that he will abandon with the time to return to his thrash roots. Since starting his musical career in 1981, Metallica has published three studio albums, four live albums, 43 singles, a version disc titled “Garage Inc.” (1998) and a collaboration with the artist Lou Reed (The Velvet Underground) in the form of LP called “Lulu” (2011).
