Momodou Jallow (1995), also known as J Hus is an English singer and rapper signed to Black Butter Records. J Hus' breakthrough came in 2015 with the release of various freestyles and singles such as "Lean & Bop". His debut album "Common Sense" amassed rave reviews and was nominated for the 2017 Mercury Prize, various 2018 Brit Awards and was the recipient of the "Best Album supported by Orange Amplification" at the VO5 NME Awards 2018.
Born and raised in Stratford, East London, J Hus personifies the vibrant London music scene with his cunning mix of beats and sounds from a diverse range of genres from his surroundings and influences . He states 50 Cent as a major influence and was encouraged to pursue a music career by childhood friends.
His single "Did You See" peaked at number 9 in the UK singles chart and his debut album "Common Sense" reached number 6 in the UK Album chart. J Hus continued his success with the release of the EP "Big Spang" in May,2018.
