From the sunny state of Florida comes to punk rock sensation that is Against Me!. With a collective total of fifteen plus years on the scene, the band did not see true commercial success until 2003 with the launch of their second major studio album Against Me! as the Eternal Cowboy, which eventually took them to number 36 on the Billboard Music charts with hits like "Cavalier Eternal". In recent years, however, the bands notorious hard punk rich sounds have become eponymous with the news in 2012 that lead vocalist Tom Gabel was transgender and set to undergo gender reassignment therapy. Gabel, now Laura Jane Grace, made the subject of transition and her struggle with gender dysphoria the subject of their upcoming Transgender Dysphoria Blues. The band is still touring together despite the revelation, and only looks to become more epic and iconic for their fanbase and the transgender community.
