Tesla, one of the great hard rock bands of the 1980's, has continued making music videos, performing in concert and even appearing in a festival around the world. Formed in 1984, Tesla stormed the decade with its powerful style of glam rock, characterized by heavy guitar, big vocals and the teased hair and flashy outfits that characterized the decade. On tour, Tesla was powered by a high-energy sound that earned them fans around the world.
In 2007 Tesla embarked on a world tour, their first in over 16 years of music together. Fans around Europe, Australia and Japan gathered at festivals and music venues to see Tesla play live. In 2008, Tesla played a benefit concert in honor of the victims of the Station nightclub fire. The footage of this event can be viewed in a music video on VH1.
In 2010, the studio where Tesla records burned down, slowing their plans for a new album release. Tesla remains a vibrant example of the fast-paced style that characterized 80's metal.
