Born in Portland, Oregon on September 28, 1982, Annie Clark is an indie music singer/songwriter who is best known by the name St. Vincent. Previous to starting her solo career in 2006, St. Vincent was a touring member of Sufjan Stevens' band and was also a member of the innovative indie band The Polyphonic Spree. In 2007 St. Vincent released her debut album Marry Me, and since that time she has released two other solo albums, Actor and Strange Mercy, and a collaborative album with Talking Heads' front man David Bynre titled Love This Giant. St. Vincent's music is a mixture of art rock and baroque pop and her voice is unique and different from any other musical voice heard in indie music today. This talented musician has released a slew of singles including "Surgeon", "Cruel" and "Who", the latter of which is the first single off the album she created with David Byrne.
