Info

Nick Carter might not ring a bell right away, but if there is mention of Murs, which can either stand for "Making the Universe Recognize and Submit" or "Making Underground Raw Shit", it might be surprising to know they are one and the same. Murs has spent most of his growing and adult life involved in hip hop music. In High School, he and fellow classmates Scarub and Eligh formed their own group, 3 Melancholy Gypsys. As an adult, he features in Living Legends with rappers Luckyiam, Sunspot Jonz, The Grouch, Scarub and Eligh from his group Gypsys, Aesop Fables, Bicasso and Arata. He also worked with Slug as Felt in 2002. Murs serves as lead vocalist of The Invincibles. His first solo debut album, F'Real (1997), was released by Veritech. Due to his most recent works and collaborations with other hip hop artists and rappers, Murs signed with Warner Bros. After his debut album, Murs For President (2008), his follow-up album, Sweet Lord, was passed out to fans for free. Despite his induction in the hip hop and rap scene, Murs is hailed for his deep lyrics and heavy content that takes a discontent moral view towards the mainstream rap community and popular R&B celebrity.
